Q2 2024 iOS Fitness & Weight Loss Apps Performance in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, the fitness and weight loss category on the iOS platform saw varied performances across the leading apps. Data from Sensor Tower reveals the latest trends for these health-centric applications.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter maintained a steady user base with weekly active users fluctuating between 15K and 16K. Downloads peaked at 664K in mid-April before tapering off to around 428K by the end of June. Revenue trends showed an initial rise, reaching up to $1.8M in the second week of April, followed by fluctuations with a noticeable dip to $1.1M by the end of May.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike also experienced a steady stream of active users, hovering around 9K to 9.8K throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a slight decline from 459K at the start of April to 346K by late June. Revenue for Strava had its highs and lows, peaking at $1.4M in early May but generally staying above $850K throughout the quarter.

For JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit, weekly active users saw a gradual increase from 1.2K to 1.4K over the three months. Downloads started at 423K and saw a dip to 200K in mid-May, with a slight recovery towards the end of the quarter. Revenue peaked at $803K in mid-April and then showed a downward trend, ending at $299K in the last week of June.

HUAWEI Health showed consistency in active users, maintaining a range between 1.9K and 2.1K. Despite not generating revenue, the app's downloads remained fairly stable, with a slight increase from 368K to 342K in early June before dropping to 254K by the quarter's end.

Lastly, Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear Lite) also reported no revenue but displayed a steady active user base, with numbers marginally increasing from 1.5K to 1.6K over the quarter. Download figures were relatively consistent, starting at 249K and ending the quarter with 261K.
